If you're still looking for the perfect addition to your Halloween party playlist, look no further – actor/screenwriter/producer/composer Sean Kelly (Dario Argento's Giallo, All that We Destroy) is back with the fifth album in the Killer Sounds of Halloween series, and his bringing a bunch of horror faves along for the ride.
The Killer Sounds of Halloween Rises from the Grave is a medium-melting mixtape of genre-hopping, spooky songs from fake bands, “lost” horror movie trailers, and Halloween ads from an alternate universe are all written and performed by Keller, and featuring the talents of guest vocalists and musicians.
This year's tracklist of terror features a roaring roster of actors, writers, directors, cinematographers, composers, and even journalists from the horror world, including Fango's very own Digital Managing Editor, BJ Colangelo.
Also contributing their musical talents to The Killer Sounds of Halloween Rises from the Grave are Ryan Lambert (The Monster Squad), Graham Skipper (Man Finds Tape), Chelsea Stardust (Satanic Panic), Fayna Sanchez (Abraham's Boys), Josh Miller (Violent Night), Michael Varrati (FANGORIA Chainsaw Awards, There's a Zombie Outside), Chris LaMartina (WNUF Halloween Special), Melissa LaMartina (What Happens Next Will Scare You), Jesse Merlin (The Face of Horror), Brian Collins (A Horror Movie a Day) and more.
Like any good horror franchise, The Killer Sounds of Halloween shows no sign of slowing down, with Rises from the Grave being the latest entry following the original The Killer Sounds of Halloween, Revenge of the Killer Sounds of Halloween, The Killer Sounds of Halloween 3-D, and 2024's The Killer Sounds of Halloween: The Final Chapter, which evidently was not the final chapter in Keller & Friends' spooky song saga (and thank goodness for that!)
Select songs from these albums have been heard in Halloween Kills, Halloween Ends, It's A Wonderful Knife, The Manor, and Rebekah McKendry's soon-to-be-released Sundown.
The Killer Sounds of Halloween Rises from the Grave is now playing on Bandcamp, for free – so no excuses! Get streamin'.
