Drag icon, cosmetics mogul and musical chameleon Trixie Mattel is bringing up the scary season goods this year with her first ever Halloween-themed LP dropping on October 2 via PEG Records.
‘Till Death Do Us Part’ is described as a return to Mattel's guitar-driven, folk-leaning roots (as seen on her debut album ‘Two Birds'), but with some modern flourishes (inspired by her work as an electronic DJ) that make the record both sincere and seasonal.
Mattel will give a sneak peek of the forthcoming album this Friday, September 25th, when the collection cut first single “Ghost On the Moon” drops across all digital streaming platforms. She will also celebrate the LP release with a Halloween performance special, set to launch on her YouTube channel on October 5th, and featuring some surprise celebrity cameos.
Here's what Mattel, who first broke out on Season 7 of RuPaul's Drag Race and is coming off a blockbuster summer of bringing her sci-fi DJ show to Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, Osheaga, Lightning In a Bottle and more, has to say about the new album:
