Everyone’s favorite honey-loving bear hasn’t even made his onscreen horror debut yet, but he’s already secured himself a sequel with the announcement of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 and a poster reveal today from the film’s official Twitter account.

The upcoming slasher from Rhys Frake-Waterfield is one of the year’s most anticipated horrors, for both fans of A.A.Milne’s beloved anthropomorphic critters and also those who want to have their childhood ruined by watching Pooh Bear and friends slice and dice their way through the Hundred Acre Wood. The official synopsis reads as follows:

The days of adventures and merriment have come to an end, as Christopher Robin, now a young man, has left Winnie-The-Pooh and Piglet to fend for themselves. As time passes, feeling angry and abandoned, the two become feral.

Craig David Dowsett and Chris Cordell star as Pooh and Piglet respectively.

The announcement of a sequel will hopefully mean good news for Tigger fans – the spring-tailed tiger will not feature in Blood and Honey but will surely be up for grabs once he bounces into the public domain. After all, the poster tagline for Blood and Honey 2 does promise that ‘friends will gather…to take revenge’, so there’s a chance we might see Kanga and Roo too.

Winne the Pooh: Blood and Honey will be available in select theaters across the U.S. from Wednesday, February 15, with the UK premiere not long after . Check out the poster for the sinister, sticky sequel below:
