With the hype around Obsession still high (and potentially on its way to the Oscars), Curry Barker is wasting no time getting back into horror with a brand new short titled Mama Bear.
Made in collaboration with and sponsorship from Windows, Mama Bear stars Jon Lee Richardson as Floyd, Katie Sarife as Lacey, Ericka Kreuz as Ms. Wilson, and Joshua Snyder as Floyd’s Doppelgänger. The short also sees Barker reunite with Obsession production designer Vivian Gray.
Published on the same YouTube channel, that's a bad idea, that Barker cut his teeth on horror with the viral short Milk & Serial, Mama Bear feels like it could easily be set in the same universe as Obsession, shadowy contorted figures and all. Check it out below:

Following his next feature Anything But Ghosts, which hits theaters next year, Barker has his eye on some classic horror IP with a reimagining of Tobe Hooper's seminal The Texas Chain Saw Massacre at A24.
