Fresh off its booming box office run, Curry Barker's Obsession is now available to watch on premium video-on-demand platforms, so you can experience the year's biggest surprise horror hit from the comfort of your very own couch.
Hailing from Focus Features and Blumhouse, Obsession, the debut feature from Milk & Serial and future Texas Chain Saw Massacre director Barker, has been racking up rave reviews since release earlier this year. Michael Johnston and instant superstar Inde Navarette star in the monkey's paw style horror as Bear, a lovesick young man who breaks a mysterious One Wish Willow to become the object of his crush's affection, and Nikki, the victim of his wish, respectively.
Made with a budget of just $750,000, Obsession earned a whopping $371 million worldwide, becoming Focus Features' highest-grossing film of all time and (at the time of writing) the eighth-highest-grossing film of 2026. The pic has quickly cemented Barker as one of the hottest horror filmmakers to watch right now, already nabbing a plush gig directing the aforementioned new Texas Chain Saw Massacre movie at A24, and with Anything But Ghosts and an as-of-now untitled third feature already in the works.
Obsession is now available to buy or rent, with pre-orders also now live for a 4K UHD/Blu-ray release expected on July 14.
