It’s here, uglies! The trailer for Season 7 of The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula has finally been released, giving us a sneak peek at just what to expect from the gruesome set of contestants celebrating the competition show’s tenth anniversary.
Returning in October, the four-time Emmy-nominated series is celebrating that milestone in style. Paying homage to VHS horror of the ‘80s and ‘90s, Season 7 will feature “the craziest elimination challenges in ten years,” according to Shudder. Competitors this season include Annie Agurl, Areal Haunting, DVVSK, Felony Dodger, Inkubus, Koochie-Koochie Ku, Krustyna Clown, Purus, Samuel Bendix, Satanna, Scythe and Vanda LaRose.
The guest judge list for this season is also as bold as ever. Among the names making an appearance in Season 7 are Doug Jones, David Dastmalchian, Lloyd Kaufman, Yvie Oddly, Lauren LaVera, Rose McGowan, Harvey Guillé, and Bailey Sarian, as well as previous winners Landon Cider, Dahli, and Asia Consent.
“Ten years ago, we opened the gates to our world without a roadmap, a television network or any idea of how far this strange underground experiment would take us. Today, Dragula has become an internationally recognized and Emmy-nominated franchise, but its heartbeat remains the same: fearless artists, disruptive ideas and a refusal to play it safe,” said the Boulet Brothers.
“For season 7, we wanted to celebrate everything that has always made Dragula dangerous and different while pushing the series into its next era. We cast raw, hungry artists who were completely unprepared for what was waiting for them, creating a season that feels unpredictable, cinematic and alive in a way that takes us back to the beginning.”
The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula Season 7 premieres on October 27.
