Fresh off unwrapping a solid box office performance, Lee Cronin's The Mummy will officially debut digitally at home on May 19 via Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment, with a 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD release to follow on July 14.
Starring Jack Reynor and May Calamawy, Cronin’s take on the classic horror story focuses on a family broken by grief when their young daughter disappears into the desert without a trace. But, when she returns eight years later — looking exactly the same, only discovered inside an ancient sarcophagus — she brings with her a living nightmare, and a curse that will haunt her entire family.
The supernatural horror also stars Laia Costa, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón, with Cronin directing from his own script. Horror legend James Wan, Jason Blum, John Keville, Michael Clear, Judson Scott, and Macdara Kelleher produced the pic, with top of the line talent behind the camera, including director of photography Dave Garbett, production designer Nick Bassett, editor Bryan Shaw, costume designer Joanna Eatwell, and more.
In our glowing review, Fango's Kimberly Leszak calls Lee Cronin's The Mummy a “gory, giddy ride wrapped in classic monster branding“, praising Cronin's penchant for creative and gag-worthy kills.
