Terrifier final girl Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin (Lords of Chaos) are set to star in Red Wedding, an upcoming horror-thriller from director Josh Stolberg (Crawlspace).
Written by Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger (Saw X), Red Wedding follows a teenager and her stepmother who are kidnapped and taken to a remote location as part of a ransom plot, soon discovering their captors are the least of their worries when a deadly bride and groom arrive and begin picking them off one by one.
Per Deadline, who reported the news earlier today, Gulfstream Pictures produce, with production now underway in Birmingham, Alabama. Mike Karz and William Bindley are producing for Gulfstream alongside Amy Kim and Jamie Burke for Lifeboat Productions, with Gulfstream also financing.
Per Gulfstream:
“Red Wedding is exactly the kind of bold, high-concept genre film we love to champion — smart, unpredictable, and unapologetically intense […] Following our long relationship with Josh Stolberg as a writer, we’re excited to now work with him as a director. Along with the incredible pairing of Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin, we’re thrilled to bring a fresh, elevated take on horror to audiences. It’s a wild ride with real character stakes.”
LaVera will soon be set to go head to head with Art the Clown in Terrifier 4, the (possibly) final chapter in Damien Leone's bloody saga. Look out for more on that, and Red Wedding, as we get it.
