After acquiring the survival slasher Last Chance Motel for wide release, The Horror Collective is now acquiring a film series exclusively for their streaming service. We’re excited to reveal that BloodStream will be host to all five films in the Game series starting next month, available exclusively on the streamer all summer, before they arrive on other platforms in August.

All five films in the series, starting with Game001 all the way through Game005, are directed by the anonymous filmmaker known as Playgame Tipplayer. The series’ synopsis is as follows:

The Game series drops viewers into a fractured slasher scenario built around two female hikers who encounter a masked killer in a remote forest. The perspective shifts across victims, perpetrators, and recorded viewpoints, folding acts of filming, sharing, clout building, and watching directly into the violence itself, and the reason any of the films seem to exist. Blending widescreen footage with vertical phone video and distorted lens imagery, the series creates a disorienting visual field where everyone is a “subject”. The result is a relentless loop of performance and consumption.

“BloodStream is committed to releasing violent, uncompromising, forward-thinking new films that aren’t available anywhere else,” says BloodStream programmer Heidi Honeycutt. “We want to push boundaries, and the Game series is another step in that direction. I hope horror fans appreciate access to something this gruesome and unapologetically exploitative.”

The Game films join a long slate of films released by The Horror Collective, including the cult film Slaxx, about a pair of killer pants, as well as The Death of Snow White, Last Chance Motel, and the more recent Fresh Meat, as well as numerous others available on BloodStream.

All five films in the Game franchise will premiere on BloodStream on June 1, before expanding to other platforms on August 1.
