We at Fango are happy to exclusively reveal the Alamo Drafthouse’s special menu for Alien: Romulus ahead of its release in theaters next week. To celebrate the upcoming release of the film, the Drafthouse has prepared a special limited-time menu themed around the movie that will be available for guests to order beginning August 12. But that’s not all! The theater chain will also have a Romulus enamel pin set that guests can order at screenings as well, while supplies last. The Drafthouse even made a teaser trailer to help tee up the menu. Check it out.
That’s a nice blend of delicious and delightfully horrific, in the way only Alien can be. This would all pair nicely with the totally unhinged Romulus popcorn bucket. The trailer certainly helps offer a taste of what’s to come, but what exactly are we looking at? What delectable creations has the Drafthouse cooked up for its patrons? Let’s break it down.
Escape Hatch Queso – Hatch green chile queso, Shiner chili, cotija, cilantro, served with corn tortilla chips
Facehugger Fries – Fries topped with Shiner chili, Hatch green chile queso, Tillamook cheddar, cotija, bacon, cilantro, scallions, sriracha sour cream.
Xenoburger – Shiner chili, beef patty, cheddar, honey mustard, red onion, toasted bun, served with fries & ketchup.
Acid Blood – Malibu Coconut Rum, Midori Melon Liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, cherry.
Zero Gravity Shake (contains alcohol) – Vanilla ice cream, Wild Turkey 101, Monin Hot Honey Syrup, lemon juice, whipped cream, lemon zest.

Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe, Evil Dead) directed the latest entry in the Alien franchise, which marks the first installment since 2017’s Covenant. This entry takes place after Ridley Scott’s original 1979 classic but before James Cameron’s Aliens, taking a bit of inspiration from both of those films along the way. The cast includes Cailee Spaeny (Civil War), David Jonsson (Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun) and Aileen Wu. The synopsis for the film reads as follows:
“ While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”
