It’s Adventure Time! FANGORIA is excited to partner with Oni Press to reveal an exclusive preview of their upcoming Halloween special issue, based on the cartoon of the same name, and comic fans are in for a real treat this fall.
Written by Jeremy Melloul with art by Adam Seats, the forty-eight page one-off comic will also feature special variant covers by Sean Dove, Agustin Morales, Violet Tobacco, and Seats himself. The issue’s synopsis is as follows:
After signing up for a quest from the Adventurer’s Guild without reading the fine print, Finn and Jake find themselves in a new dungeon — turning into some of its monstrous inhabitants! Stuck in strange bodies, fighting familiar faces, and attempting to get to the bottom of this mysterious place, can our dynamic duo best this unearthly dungeon or will they fall victim to the monsters within . . . and within themselves?
This new Halloween special joins a laundry list of titles Oni Press is releasing to celebrate the holiday, not least of which is their Archie in Hell series, which takes Riverdale’s favorite boy next door and plunges him into the depths of the underworld. Also hitting shelves is a brand-new Sabrina the Teenage Witch series, which brings the magical teen back to her roots for an all-new adventure with her best pal Salem.
While a series of Adventure Time comics was published by Boom! Studios when the original Cartoon Network show was still on the air, Oni’s current series began in 2024 and is now being collected in a massive, six-volume collection of over a hundred issues.
