They’re back, witches. FX released the first full trailer for the thirteenth season of American Horror Story, and after fifteen years of telling terrifying new stories each season, the show is finally bringing back some of its most iconic faces for its biggest storyline yet.
While the synopsis for this season remains frustratingly vague — reading only “Which iconic horrors will return to haunt the hallowed halls of 13 and what new terrors await? Light your candles, draw your pentagrams and prepare for a supreme surprise” — we do see a number of familiar faces in the full trailer, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, and Jessica Lange playing numerous different characters from past seasons, including Constance Langdon, Elsa Mars, Cordelia Goode, Hypodermic Sally, Kai Anderson, and Tate Langdon.

Consisting appropriately of thirteen half hour episodes, the new season also stars returning Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, Leslie Grossman, Joey Pollari, and John Carroll Lynch. The cast also includes (hold your breath) Avantika, Jamie Brewer, Elle Chapman, Berto Colon, Alex Consani, Frances Conroy, Mat Fraser, Seth Gabel, Orlando Jones, Paul Anthony Kelly, Tig Notaro, Madelaine Petsch, Fedor Steer, Mena Suvari, Zach Villa, and John Waters.
Created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story is also executive produced by Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt, and Tim Minear.
Season 13 marks the first time we’ve gotten new AHS episodes since 2024, the longest break in seasons since the show began in 2011. The first two weeks of premieres will feature three episodes each, followed by a pair of episodes every week leading up to the thirteenth and final episode on October 29.
American Horror Story Season 13 premieres on FX and Hulu on September 24 at 6PM PT/9PM ET.
