For those that didn’t get a chance to see Sam Reid perform live at New York City’s Beacon Theatre this summer, AMC has a fix for you. They’ve just announced the release date for The Vampire Lestat: Only Night Only Live, a special recording of the performance featuring Reid singing in character as his Interview With the Vampire character.
The new live special will feature performances of the third season’s original music, written by composer Daniel Hart, featuring tracks like “Long Face,” “All Fall Down,” and “Butterscotch Bitch,” as backed by a full band.
The Vampire Lestat, better known as the third season of Interview With the Vampire, featured the return of Sam Reid as Lestat, now firmly in his rockstar era. Also returning for Season 3 are Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, and Delainey Hayles, as well as new addition Jennifer Ehle. The season’s synopsis is as follows:

Resentful of the perfunctory portrayal in the trashy bestseller “Interview with the Vampire,” the Vampire Lestat (Sam Reid) sets his story straight in a way only the Vampire Lestat can—by starting a band and going on tour. Gabriella. Nicholas. Magnus. Marius. Those Who Must Be Kept. They join Louis, Armand, Molloy, Sam, Raglan, Fareed and others we can’t tell you about yet on a sexy pilgrimage across space, time and trauma. No Auto-Tuning. No Trigger Warnings. All Feels Amplified.
The series was recently renewed for a fourth season, taking on yet another new title (RIP everyone’s SEO) as the focus shifts to Akasha, the titular Queen of the Damned. Hannah Moscovitch will take over as showrunner for the new season, with Season 3 showrunner Rolin Jones departing the series.
The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live premieres on AMC+ on August 23.
