The Horror Collective just keeps on growing. FANGORIA is excited to partner with Studio Dome’s genre label to announce their acquisition of Last Chance Motel, a new slasher uniting some of our favorite scream queens in one big, bloody celebration of scary movies.
Last Chance Motel is written and directed by Danielle Harris and Scout Taylor-Compton, who also star in the film alongside scream queen Heather Langenkamp, Monica Keena, Robert Allen Mukes, Shane West, Sierra McCormick, and Zachary Roozen. The film’s synopsis is as follows:
Last Chance Motel follows a newlywed couple whose dream wedding spirals into a bloody nightmare when they uncover that their secluded venue, a desolate motel deep in the Nevada desert, is run by a relentless bloodthirsty family with dark secrets.

“Horror has always been the genre that holds a mirror up to what scares us most – and right now, audiences are hungry for stories that feel both visceral and personal,” says Taylor-Compton. “Last Chance Motel is a film I'm incredibly proud of, and I think it speaks to something universal: the idea that danger can hide in the most ordinary places. Danielle and I poured everything into this – as producers, as directors, as performers – and I genuinely believe this is a film that will stay with you long after the credits roll.”
Last Chance Motel is produced by Harris and Taylor-Compton, alongside Daemon Hillin, Amy Covell, Tom O’Connell, Jeremy Spencer, Edward D. A. Sommer, Michelle L. Sommer, Jen Kaput, and Jay Kaput. It joins a long slate of films released by The Horror Collective, including the cult film Slaxx, about a pair of killer pants, as well as The Death of Snow White and the more recent Fresh Meat, as well as numerous others available on their streaming service, BloodStream.
“Last Chance Motel is exactly the kind of elevated, marketable horror film that buyers are responding to right now,” said Studio Dome’s Shaked Berenson. “It has recognizable genre talent, a clean, sellable concept, and delivers the kind of tension audiences expect from this space. The combination of Danielle and Scout directing themselves, alongside a cast of true horror legends, is the kind of package that doesn't come along often. We're confident this will be one of the most talked-about genre titles at the Marché.”
Last Chance Motel will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but no wide release date has been set. Stay tuned to FANGORIA for more updates.
