The King of the Monsters is soon to return in Godzilla Minus Zero, with the highly-anticipated first trailer for Takashi Yamazaki's latest kaiju epic dropping today out of CinemaCon. Let's see what the big fella is up to this time:

Returning for the sequel to 2023's Godzilla Minus One are stars Ryunosuke Kamiki, Minami Hamabe and Hidetaka Noshioda, with the story following two years after the events of the previous film, in which a failed kamikaze pilot (Kamiki) and a group of civilians trying to defend a ravaged Japan from the radiation-breathing beast. In Godzilla Minus Zero, the kaiju king seems to have his sights also set on New York City, as the new trailer shows him stomping towards the Statue of Liberty.
Godzilla Minus One was a gargantuan success, taking home the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, as well as won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Screenplay, and the FANGORIA Chainsaw Award for Best Score and Best Wide Release in 2024, as well as becoming the highest grossing Godzilla film ever produced in Japan.
Godzilla Minus Zero will storm onto North American screens on November 6, and in November 3 in its native Japan, the same day as its predecessor, and, in a very cool twist of fate, the same day that the original Godzilla film premiered in Japan all the way back in 1954.
Look out for more on Godzilla Minus Zero as we get it, and for more, here's why we should be celebrating Mothra, the other most iconic kaiju of all time, throughout all of 2026.
