It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new story set in the Hellraiser universe, but Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games are here to fix that. They’ve just debuted a new trailer for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, a brand-new survival horror game coming to XBox, PlayStation, and Steam this year.
Arriving on gaming platforms sometime this year, the new game’s synopsis is as follows:
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival delivers a terrifying new story in the legendary Hellraiser universe, a tale of passion, lust and temptation – and the gruesome consequences that follow. As Aidan, you’ll descend into the darkest depths of the underworld on a journey to rescue your girlfriend Sunny from an eternal realm of torment at the hands of the depraved Cenobites within the Labyrinth.
Battle for your love in an unholy war against Hell’s most deviant wretches, cultists and creatures with the infernal powers of the Genesis Configuration puzzle box and an arsenal of earthly weapons. But will you be able to hold onto your immortal soul against the malicious domination of Pinhead (voiced by series icon Doug Bradley)? Or will you succumb to your vices and suffer for eternity?
Fans can also purchase special collector’s edition bundles through Boss Team Games, which feature a copy of the game along with special themed collectibles. The “Genesis Edition” ($130 USD) features the game, an exclusive trading card pack, and your very own Lament Configuration, from which you can choose the original version from the film or the new version designed for the game. An upgraded “Cenobite Edition” ($200 USD) features all three of those items, plus a special cenobite statue, a steelbook case for the game, an art book and print of the game’s Pinhead design, a poster, and an enamel pin set, all in a collector’s edition box.
But if you really want to up your game, Boss Team is also offering the “Pinhead Edition,” which retails for $250 USD and is limited to 1,500 copies, because it features not only everything in the Cenobite package, but also a signed print from original Hellraiser star Doug Bradley. All three special editions come with additional digital bonus features, and are available to order on Hellraiser: Revival’s website.
No release date has been set for Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, but the game is available to wishlist on Steam, PlayStation 5, and XBox Series XIS now.
