If you're doom-scrolling right now, take a break from real-life horrors to feast your eyes on our exclusive trailer reveal of award-winning Internet-focussed indie horror It Needs Eyes.
From writer/director duo Zack Ogle (We Got a Monkeyโs Paw, Death Has a Son) and Aaron Pagniano (We Got a Monkeyโs Paw, Sunset on the River Styx),ย It Needs Eyes is described as a twisted coming-of-age thriller that reminds you youโre not safe just because youโre behind a screen. The digital horror follows stars Raquel Lebish, Isadora Leiva and Lydia Fiore, and follows Rowan, a teenager sent to stay with her aunt in a quiet Northeastern beach town after a traumatic event:
Sheltering indoors, she sinks into increasingly bizarreโand often violentโonline content until she discovers a missing woman known only as โFish Tooth.โ Convinced the woman is calling out through the screen for help, Rowan is drawn into a spiraling, screen-haunting mystery where digital obsession collides with real-world danger.
It Needs Eyes world-premiered to two sold-out screenings at Brazilโs Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival, then continued its run at the Portland Horror Film Festival, winning the Goule dโOr Best Feature award. Lebish received Best Lead Performer honors at Portlandโs Queer Screams Film Festivalย and the film earned Best International Directors at Mexico Cityโs Macabro International Horror Film Festival
