It's been a torturous wait, but Netflix has released the official poster for Wednesday‘s second season, as well as a promise that the first teaser for the show will drop tomorrow, Wednesday (duh) April 23.
Joining star Jenna Ortega for the second season of Wednesday are returning stars Gwendoline Christie, Luiz Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones and original Wednesday herself Christina Ricci. Also joining the second season are Lady Gaga, Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley, Haley Joel Osment and Steve Buscemi.
Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor also join the second season.
Alfred Gough and Miles Millar return as writers and showrunners, with Tim Burton executive producing and directing four episodes.
Plot details for the second season are still under wraps, but we do know that the show is set to lean way more into horror, with Ortega previously teasing that one episode of Wednesday follows a slasher formula, with Carrie and Prom Night also serving as inspiration for this go-round at the Nevermore Academy.
