Jenna Ortega steps back into her Dr. Martens for the second season of Wednesday, with Netflix dropping a new official trailer today that reveals the first deadly plot details of this go-round at the Nevermore Academy.
Hitting the streamer in two parts, Wednesday Season 2‘s first four episodes will premiere on August 6, while the second part, also consisting of four episodes, is due to premiere on September 3.
Starring alongside Ortega in the Tim Burton-produced hit series are returning series regulars Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester), Emma Myers (Enid), Joy Sunday (Bianca), Doohan (Tyler), Victor Dorobantu (Thing), Moosa Mostafa (Eugene), Georgie Farmer (Ajax), Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Luis Guzmรกn (Gomez Addams), Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams) and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Ritchie Santiago).
Joining the second season are Mother Monster herself Lady Gaga in an unknown role (but rumoured to be playing a teacher at Nevermore), Christopher Lloyd, Joanna Lumley as Grandmama, Haley Joel Osment and Steve Buscemi as new principal Barry Dort, as well as Billie Piper, Thandiwe Newton, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, Georgie Farmer, Isaac Ordonez, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor.
The new trailer for Wednesday teases more of what's in store this academic year, with Wednesday experiencing terrifying visions of Enid's demise as well as dealing with being labelled “the saviour of Nevermore” by autograph hounds.
