Dan Trachtenberg's revival of theย Predator franchise continued this year with the explosive Predator: Badlands, and the sci-fi action horror can soon be yours to watch at home.
The second of Trachtenberg's 2025 Predator movies, Predator: Badlandsย will be available from January 6, 2026 on Digital including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home, with a 4K Ultra HD (including Limited Edition SteelBook release), Blu-ray and DVD release to follow on February 17.
Starring Elle Fanning (The Neon Demon, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach) and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatang (The Panthers, Red, White & Brass),ย Predator: Badlands follows:
โฆa young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, [who] finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.
A box office hit, Predator: Badlands stands proudly as the highest-grossing entry in the Predatorย franchiseโs 38-year history, earning $183 million worldwide and surpassing the previous record holder, 2004โs Alien vs. Predator,ย as well as beating out Danny Boyle's zombie mega-hitย 28 Years Later this year, too.
Critics were charmed too. In our glowing review, BJ Colangelo called Predator: Badlands “audacious, whip-smart blockbuster filmmaking”, praising Trachtenberg's ability to blend sci-fi horror action with coming-of-age drama to create aย Predator like we've never seen before.
