New TROLL 2 Clip Teases More Norwegian Kaiju Action

Roar Uthaug's sequel hits the streamer later this year.

Norwegian kaiju sequel Troll 2 (no, not that one) stomps onto Netflix later this year, with the streamer releasing a first-look clip today.

Back in 2022, Roar Uthaug's Troll became Netflix's most watched non-English language film, racking up over 170 million hours of views and entering the streamer's top 10 in 93 countries including its native Norway, the U.S., the U.K., France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Brazil and Mexico.

In Troll 2, which sees director Uthaug and writer Espen Aukan return:

When a powerful new troll is awakened, chaos spreads across Norway, thrusting Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann), Andreas (Kim Falck), and Captain Kris (Mads Sjรธgรฅrd Pettersen) into their most dangerous mission yet. To stop the creatureโ€™s rampage, they must make new allies, new weapons, and dive into ancient Norwegian history for answers. Can they overcome the impossible odds to save their country from the brink of darkness?โ€

Here's what Uthaug had to say to Netflix about the Troll tale continuing:

โ€œMaking Troll was a lifelong dream come true, and the reception our Norwegian movie has received around the world has been unbelievable […] I am beyond excited that we now get to embark on the next journey of this great adventure.โ€
