Horny sci-fi horror-comedy Touch Me gets a gloriously twisted new trailer today from Yellow Veil Pictures that teases “live action hentai” (that's a direct quote, in case you weren't sold already) from the festival hit from Addison Heimann (Hypochondriac), hitting New York theaters on March 20, select nationwide theaters on March 27 and On Demand and Digital on April 2. NSFW, obviously:
Starring Olivia Taylor Dudley (She Dies Tomorrow), Lou Taylor Pucci (Evil Dead)ย and Jordan Garvis (The Lake), Touch Me follows two co-dependent best friends become addicted to the heroin-like touch of an alien narcissist who may or may not be trying to take over the world:
A wacky, wild, sensual homage to Japanese exploitation films, Touch Me tells the story of two cringe millennials, Joey and Craig, who do everything in their power to do absolutely nothing. Of course they have capital T childhood trauma, but so does everyone, so like, judge them however you like. Seriously, JUDGE THEM. One regular day, Joeyโs super hot alien ex, Brian, comes back into town begging for her to forgive him and come back to his desert mansion for the weekend. With nothing better to do (and also a pretty unfortunate sewer explosion in Craigโs house), the two trepidatiously accept.
Also the fact that Brianโs slimy sexual tentacle appendage removes anxiety and depression maybe helps solidify their decision. But at the house, under Brianโs veneer of healing is a sinister plot filled with murder, mayhem, and blood. Then again, maybe they can all get along in the most glorious throuple youโve ever seen. Touch Me, is a psychosexual horror-comedy with 100% old-school practical effects, about the nature of co-dependent friendships and how far we are willing to go for a slice of happiness.
Heimann also wrote the script and produced Touch Me, alongside John Humber and David Lawson Jr., and Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (The Endless, Moon Knight) executive producing for Rustic Films.
Following the film's Sundance Midnight premiere and SXSW showing, Touch Mewon Overlook Film Festival's Grand Jury Prize for Feature Film, with the jury calling it โsmart, hilarious, unpredictable, gory and emotionally authenticโ, and Fango's own EIC Phil Nobile Jr. adding โwho knew Lou Taylor Pucci had that dawg in him?โ
In a previous statement, Yellow Veil Pictures' Joe Yanick echoed the sentiment:
โโTouch Meโ is an astounding second feature [โฆ] Addison is so playful in his stylistic choices and confident in allowing so many different ideas to bounce around form into a film that is in equal measure funny, sexy, weird, and bloody.โ
