Blumhouse and James Watkins'ย Speak No Evil, a remake of Christian Tafdrupโ€™s Danish film of the same name, hits theaters on September 13, and we're excited to bring you an exclusive clip today to get you hyped for the terrifying thriller.

Speak No Evil ย stars James McAvoy (Split, Glass), Mackenzie Davies (Terminator: Dark Fate, Halt and Catch Fire), Scoot McNairy (A Quiet Place: Part II, Monsters) and Aisling Franciosi (The Fall, Stopmotion) as two sets of couples from different continents, with very different ideas of what makes for a fun vacation:

When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.ย

Watkins, who directed Eden Lake and The Woman in Black, adapts Christian and Mads Tafdrupโ€™s original Speak No Evil screenplay.

Jason Blum, Paul Ritchie, Christian Tafdrup, Jacob Jarek, and Bea Sequeira serve as Executive Producers.

Originally slated for an August 9 release, Universal previously announced the date was being pushed to a (very appropriate) Friday, September 13 theatrical release.

In our exclusive clip, McAvoy goes into more detail on his character, Paddy, and the “darkness” we can expect to see from him. If his previous horror performances are anything to go by, we are in for something VERY intense as he dives into this particular character…

Catchย Speak No Evil on September 13 (or today, if you're one of the lucky attendees to the FANGORIA-hosted advance screening in New York!) and meet Paddy in our exclusive teaser below:
