Green Room director Jeremy Saulnier makes a long-awaited return to genre with Slayground, with A24 today releasing the first full trailer for the Halloween-set fugitive thriller. Brace yourself:
Starring Imogen Poots (Green Room), James Badge Dale (The Empty Man), Matty Matheson (The Bear), Cory Michael Smith (Saturday Night), Chase Sui Wonders (I Know What You Did Last Summer), Sophie Wilde (Talk to Me), and Young Mazino (The Last of Us), Slayground officially hits theaters on January 29, 2027.
Previously titled October, in Slayground, scare-actor “Metal Mike” Graves wakes up in a haunted attraction surrounded by the dead bodies of his co-workers with no memory of how they got there. As a state-wide manhunt closes in, he races to uncover the truth – even if the trail leads straight back to him.
Slayground is produced by A24, Rich Peete (Neighborhood Watch), Eli Bush (Central) and Saulnier and Skei Saulnier (Niteowl Films), with Ronald Bronstein and Josh Safdie (Central), Traci Carlson and Elliott Coley (Neighborhood Watch) and The Toxic Avenger‘s Macon Blair (Bonneville Pictures) exec producing.
Nine Inch Nails maestros Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross provide new music for the film.
Slayground releases in theaters on January 29, 2027. Check out a new poster below, and for more 2027 horror movies, here's our list of everything with a confirmed release date to come next year.
