It's the 13th of the month, which means a new tease for Crystal Lake, the upcoming Friday the 13th prequel series hailing from A24 and Peacock, with today bringing fresh posters showing the Voorhees duo.
Debuting on October 15, the 8-episode Crystal Lake stars Callum Vinson as a young Jason and Linda Cardellini as murder mommy Pamela Voorhees who, yes, will be wearing her iconic blue sweater. The show is set prior to the accident that made Voorhees the killer we all know and love today.
Brad Caleb Kane, (It: Welcome to Derry) serves as writer, showrunner and executive producer on the camp-set series, with Victor Miller (original Friday the 13th scribe) onboard as an executive producer along with Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Robert P. Barsamian, and Stuart Manashil.
Joining Vinson and Cardellini are William Catlett, Devin Kessler, Cameron Scoggins in a major legacy role, Gwendolyn Sundstrom, Nick Cordileone, Danielle Kotch, Phoenix Parnevik, Nancy Nagrant, and Joy Suprano, with Michael Lennox, Celine Held and Logan George, and Quyen Tran directing episodes.
