Ahead of Silent Hill: Townfall‘s release on September 24, Konami has announced a collaboration with legendary British comic studio 2000 AD to create an original comic story inspired by the upcoming survival horror game.

Silent Hill: Townfall – The Dock House is written by lead writer and game director Jon McKellan of Screen Burn Interactive, and serves as an official narrative companion and prequel to the upcoming game. Acclaimed artist David Roach (Nemesis The Warlock) provides pencils for the eerie new story, with colors by Emily Roach and letters by Rob Steen.

According to an official press release, the new comic adds an additional perspective on the isolated island community of St. Amelia, expanding upon the haunting world and atmosphere of Silent Hill: Townfall while preserving the mysteries awaiting players in the game.

The new comic is available from September 16 in the UK and September 30 in the USA, while fans globally can also read the issue digitally through the 2000 AD Webstore and App.

Now available to wishlist for PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Games Store, Silent Hill: Townfall follows Simon Ordell, a troubled man called back to the Scottish island of St. Amelia to ‘put things right':

He encounters a town lying quiet beneath a heavy fog, seemingly abandoned but not at rest. Venturing deeper, and driven to understand his connection to the place and its inhabitants, Simon begins to discover fragments of a past rising to the surface.

Starring as Simon is Jovan Adepo (3 Body Problem, IT: Welcome to Derry, The Odyssey), with Kezia Burrows (Observation) providing the voice of Zoe Ellis and Terry O'Quinn (Lost, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live) as Richard.

Here's what McKellan has to say of the new Townfall expansion:

It's incredibly exciting to expand the world of SILENT HILL: Townfall with a new short story, and a personal milestone for me as a writer to get a chance to contribute to an issue!. It feels especially fitting for a game set in the UK to feature in a UK national treasure like 2000 AD, and watching David bring the words to life has been a joy. I'm excited for readers to experience a slice of the world we've built, and discover its connection to the game.

Silent Hill: Townfall is the latest in Konami's recent revival of the survival horror gaming series following the success of Bloober's Silent Hill 2 Remake and Silent Hill f, with Bloober Team's upcoming Silent Hill 1 remake still to come.
