Kathryn Newton has cemented herself as a bonafide scream queen in recent years. She had early career success in movies like Paranormal Activity 4, before starring in horror movies like Freaky, Lisa Frankenstein and Abigail more recently. This year, she helped build another franchise in Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, which recently made its way to Digital and will soon be available on Blu-ray/DVD. In honor of the movie’s home video release, we got a little behind-the-scenes look at Newton in action.

Fango exclusively presents the above featurette for Ready or Not 2, which dives into why Newton was picked to join Samara Weaving as her character Grace’s sister in the sequel. Directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett discuss why they cast her and we get to see the on-screen sisters having fun on set during filming. It offers a little window into why that relationship really works in the movie.
The Blu-ray and DVD release has been set for June 16, for those who are still into physical media. We’ve also got a look at the box art, as well as a breakdown of the bonus features included with the release, for you to check out below. The sequel picks up right where the first movie left off, despite being released nearly seven years later. The synopsis for the movie reads as follows:
“Still reeling from her brutal escape from the Le Domas family, Grace is thrust into an even more unhinged bloodbath when she becomes prey once again – this time hunted alongside her estranged sister by four rival families, each ruthlessly vying for absolute power and control of the High Seat of the Council.”
The cast also includes Sarah Michelle Gellar, Shawn Hatosy, Nestor Carbonell, David Cronenberg and Elijah Wood.
