A WOUNDED FAWN (2022)

Jakob’s Wife director Travis Stevens has a new Shudder original making its world premiere at the 2022 Tribeca Festival. Starring Sarah Lind (Jakob’s Wife), Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within), and Malin Barr (The Beta Test, Honeydew) A Wounded Fawn is inspired by Greek mythology and surrealist art, and follows the story of a museum curator getting back into the dating pool… where she is targeted by a charming serial killer. What was intended as a romantic getaway “becomes a tense game of cat and mouse” as the two must confront the madness within him.

Shudder general manager Craig Engler says, “We’re thrilled the Tribeca Festival has recognized Travis Stevens’ distinct and visually arresting nightmare,” and adds “Shudder members are in for a viewing experience that is equal parts gripping, unexpected and surprisingly funny.”

Stevens is looking forward to bringing the film to Tribeca and to our living rooms via Shudder, “As the horror genre continues to push forward in fun directions, it’s only possible with the imagination and support of companies like Shudder. Their belief in this project and in the artists making it, has been wonderful. We’re looking forward to sharing this wild film with audiences at Tribeca and around the world.”

The Tribeca Film Festival runs June 8th-19th and A Wounded Fawn is set to hit Shudder in late 2022.
