In Search of Darkness is gearing up to tackle the back half of the โ€˜90s, and today, Bloody Disgusting revealed the trailer for the seriesโ€™ trip into meta movie madness. In Search of Darkness: 1995-1999, just opened pre orders, and thereโ€™s something for everyone in this one. 

As the title makes obvious, the documentary will cover the making of the iconic horror films of the back half of the โ€˜90s, including but not limited to Scream, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Craft, Bride of Chucky, The Sixth Sense, Ring, and The Blair Witch Project. As with the other installments of In Search of Darkness, the new late โ€˜90s edition will feature interviews and commentary from some of the most recognizable faces in the genre, including John Carpenter, Doug Bradley, Mike Flanagan, Andrew Divoff, Corbin Bernsen, Marco Beltrami, and Akela Cooper, among others.

Pre-orders for the 1995-1999 collectorโ€™s edition are available now, and include a special blu-ray with a slipcase and double-sided inlay, a thirty-two page collectible booklet, two exclusive posters, a sticker pack, movie checklist mini-poster, a digital copy of the film, and a certificate of contribution. You can also purchase optional upgrades, which include a double pack that also features In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994, the In Search of Darkness โ€˜80s trilogy with special packaging, just the special slipcases for the โ€˜90s duo, and a special t-shirt, among others. 

In Search of Darkness is the fifth installment in the series covering genre films in the latter part of the twenty century, which also includes a trilogy dedicated entirely to the โ€˜80s, as well as In Search of Tomorrow, a film all about the great sci-fi films of the โ€˜80s. Creator VC, the studio behind In Search of Darkness, has also produced In Search of the Last Action Heroes, about โ€˜80s action films, and FPS, about the history of first-person shooter video games. 

The pre-sale for In Search of Darkness 1995-1999 opens today, and is available only on the documentaryโ€™s website from now until June 9. You can check out the trailer below:
