Godzilla’s most epic crossover event is stomping into comic shops in March 2027. Fans of the legendary kaiju have a lot to look forward to. We’ve got Godzilla Minus Zero just around the corner, plus next year’s Godzilla x Kong: Supernova as part of the MonsterVerses. But IDW has been doing some incredible work with the character in the comics. Now, it’s time for the biggest crossover the Godzilla franchise has seen in a long time.

Hailing from writer Tim Seeley and artist Fero Pe, Godzilla vs. Everything is the first crossover event from the Kai-Sei era line of comics at IDW Publishing. The crossover event spans four issues and ties together all of the various books across the publisher’s line of titles centered on the King of the Monsters.  It's at least the biggest crossover in the franchise since Godzilla vs. Kong in 2021. Arguably the biggest one since Destroy All Monsters in 1968, at least in terms of sheer volume. We’ve got some initial teaser art and the cover for the first issue below for you to check out.

The Kai-Sei era made its debut in 2025, connecting a universe of comic book titles including Godzilla, Starship Godzilla, Escape the Deadzone, and The Horror Of Godzilla. All those titles have been building toward this blockbuster crossover. IDW provided a brief logline for the forthcoming series, which reads as follows:

“Godzilla has achieved its most powerful form yet and has its sights set on destroying the world. Can the combined forces of Earth – and beyond – stop the King of the Monsters, or will Godzilla finally destroy the world?”

“When I started work with editor Jake Williams and IDW on Godzilla, the big pitch was this was going to play like a universe of titles, but also as a universe of characters,” Seeley said. “From the beginning, the goal was they'd all come together at some point as friends and/or enemies in a proper comic universe event title. Well, we're here, and all the meticulous plotting of our creative crew leads to a wild, weird, terrifying crossover comic that puts Godzilla, the kaiju, and our cast through every epic story beat you've ever wanted.”

The nice thing about the Kai-Sei era is that each of the individual books that have been released up to this point have totally stood on their own. They’re also all very different, genre-wise. Starship Godzilla is like an ‘80s VHS anime, whereas Escape the Deadzone is fully bizarre science fiction. How they’ll all mesh within this crossover remains to be seen.

The buildup to the event is happening as we speak in the pages of Starship Godzilla: Invasion X, Godzilla: Revenge Of The Deadzone, and the ongoing Godzilla series, which is currently on issue #13.

Godzilla vs. Everything #1 doesn’t currently have a release date, but stay tuned.
