Heads up, slasher fans. Jason Voorhees is taking up residence at a new home in February. Pluto TV has announced its lineup for the month and it includes not one but eight Friday the 13th movies. Thatโs a lot of young people getting slaughtered by Camp Crystal Lake! Even better news? For those unfamiliar with Pluto TVโs game, this means the movies will be streaming for the low, low price of free.ย

Pluto TV will be streaming the first seven entries in the franchise, starting with the original 1980 summer camp classic Friday the 13th right up through 1989โs Jason Takes Manhattan, in which Jason spends a whole lot of time on a boat before briefly wreaking some havoc in New York City. The full list of entries from the storied slasher franchise headed to the streamer is as follows:ย
-
- Friday the 13th (1980)
- Friday the 13th Part II
- Friday the 13th Part III
- Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
- Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning
- Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives
- Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
- Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan
Missing from the list are 1993โs Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, 2002โs Jason X (aka the one where Jason goes to space), 2003โs Freddy vs. Jason and 2009โs Friday the 13th remake. So, while itโs not a complete list of Jasonโs murderous adventures throughout the years, itโs a damn fine selection at an unbeatable price. One does have to put up with some ads, but itโs a small price to pay in the era of too many streaming services, all of which seem to be constantly raising their prices.ย
As for fans who are hoping to see more new stuff from Jason in the future, thereโs hope on that front for the first time in a long time. Last year saw the release of an official short film entitled Sweet Revenge, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. A new Friday the 13th movie and video game are in development, though specific details remain scarce. Still, itโs a step in the right direction after 17 years with no movie in the franchise to speak of.ย
Meanwhile, A24 and Peacock have wrapped filming on Crystal Lake, a prequel TV series that is expected to debut later this year. In the meantime though, fans can revisit the movies that turned Jason Voorhees into a horror icon in the first place. Or, for those who havenโt seen them, this is the perfect opportunity to amend that.ย
Look for the first seven Friday the 13th movies on Pluto TV in February.ย
