Ho ho ho! Art the Clown is here to bring some holiday cheer. Or, more accurately, some holiday gore – and lots of it. Thatโs because today brings with it the first official poster for Terrifier 3, the upcoming entry in the budding slasher franchise that will haunt theaters next holiday season. If this artwork is anything to go on, Art will not be pulling any punches this time around, as he is going to carve a path of bloody destruction next Christmas.
The poster was first revealed by Bloody Disgusting and was cooked up by Uncle Frank Productions. It features Art the Clown front-and-center with a bloody Santa bib around his neck, brandishing a very bloody ax. We also see a dead body on the foot behind him, as well as evidence of further bloodshed in and around the tree. Itโs just a poster, but itโs evident that this is going to be a very bloody affair. Director Damien Leone had this to say about the upcoming sequel:
โWeโre going to have a bigger budget. Weโre shooting in anamorphic widescreen, so I want it to feel more like an old-school John Carpenter movie. Itโs going to still have that epic feel of part two, but now have the tone of part one with Christmas. Itโs going to be a completely different beast. Itโs going to look different. Itโs going to feel different, but itโs still going to have everything you love in it. But itโs going to be very fresh. Itโs not going to be like youโre sitting through part one or two all over again.โ

The teaser trailer for the film was recently revealed alongside special screenings of Terrifier 2. It hasnโt been released online just yet, but itโs only a matter of time. Plot details are largely kept under wraps, but Art the Clown will โunleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve.โ David Howard Thornton will be reprising his role as Art. Other than that, the cast is also under wraps for now.
Terrifier was a small, cult hit but last yearโs Terrifier 2 became a surprise mainstream success story. Despite being ultra-gory, low-budget and unrated, the mega-slasher took in $15 million at the box office. That paved the way for a much more high-profile follow-up. Weโll be sure to keep you posted as further details come our way.
Terrifier 3 is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024. Now here's that ho-ho-ho-horrible new poster:
