Writer/director Josh Heaps' directorial debut City Wide Fever screens at select Alamo Drafthouse theaters next week, and we've got an exclusive clip of the lo-fi horror-thriller with a meta-giallo twist to pique your interest.

Executive produced by Guy Maddin (Keyhole, Rumours), City Wide Fever stars Diletta Guglielmi, Angelica Kim, Nancy Kimball, Hugo Alexander-Rose, Rutanya Alda, Onur Tukel, Ian Fidance, Carolyn Farina, Stan Oh, Michael M. Bilandic, and genre legends Larry Fessenden (Habit) and Douglas Buck (Cutting Moments), both of whom can be seen in our exclusive clip below, trading directing for a much more, shall we say, NSFW career choice.

In City Wide Fever, Sam (Guglielmi), a young film student, discovers a USB detailing the life and career of forgotten Italian horror director Saturnino Barresi. As she begins to investigate his mysterious disappearance, Sam finds herself pulled into a violent conspiracy eerily similar to those of the films she adores:

City Wide Fever is also executive produced by Robert Forbes, Richard Stoeffel, Jim Stoeffel, Brooks May, Amanda Romo, Franklin Laviola, Nicholas Laviola, with Heaps producing alongside Vincent “Chenzy” Graziano.

Starting next week on April 15, City Wide Fever will screen at select Alamo Drafthouses across the country. Find out where you can catch it right here, and you can grab Vinegar Syndrome's Blu-ray edition of City Wide Fever here.
