One of the most important dates of the year is just a few days out, and no, we don't mean Valentine's Day, but rather Friday the 13th, every slasher fan's favorite holiday. It's one of three Friday the 13ths in 2026 (the maximum number of times that date can occur in a calendar year), which makes this year an extra special one, and to celebrate FANGORIA has partnered with Regal to present screenings of five installments in the legendary slasher franchise.
Theย Friday the 13th showings start this Friday with the OGย Friday the 13th (1980) and Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981). The rest of the schedule reads as follows:
- March 13 โ Friday the 13th Part 3 3-D (1982) and Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984)
- November 13 โ Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986)
Where is Friday the 13th: A New Beginning,ย you might be asking? Well, according to Regal, out of “respect to the murderous legacy of the Voorhees family”, and due to a โfake Jasonโ plot twist generally disliked by fans of the franchise (hey, their words, not ours!) you'll have to complete the marathon by watching the fifth F13 movie from the comfort of your very own home.
Regal also teases that something big is planned on the final (un)lucky day in November that will “elevate the horror moviegoing experience”. Watch this space for more grisly details on whatever that could be. Regal Crown Club members who attend multiple Friday the 13th showtimes across the year will receive continuity credits and FANGORIA rewards for their continued attendance.
Three Friday the 13ths aside, 2026 also has an extra treat for Jason Voorhees fans in the form of A24's Friday the 13th prequel series,ย Crystal Lake, which is hitting Peacock at a to-be-announced date later this year.
