Severance star Britt Lower and Late Night with the Devil‘s David Dastmalchian are set to star in Sender, an upcoming psychological horror produced by Halloween legend Jamie Lee Curtis, Deadline reports today.
Curtis will also star in the pic, as will Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding).
Directed by Russell Goldman in his feature debut, Sender is based on his own award-winning 2022 short, Return to Sender. In Sender:
… a woman (Lower) [who] experiences an e-commerce package delivery scam that becomes so personal and disturbing that she becomes hellbent on discovering the identity of her anonymous sender.
Deadline details that Curtis is producing for Comet Pictures, alongside Molly Hallam and Jake Katofsky. Akshay Shah, Lower, and Goldman are exec producers on the project, with Thomas Grabinski, Eric Baird, Cesar Vega, and Mireia Villanova serving as co-producers.
Speaking with Deadline, the iconic final girl had this to say:
โI am so proud to be a part of Russellโs first movie, the first of many. The little seed that Comet Pictures planted has now grown into a feature filled with talented artists surrounding a new and exciting filmmaker.โ
Goldman and Curtis previously teamed up on graphic novel Mother Nature for Titan Comics.
Lower has cemented herself as one of the breakout stars of Appleโs hit series Severance, where she stars opposite Adam Scott.
Sender joins Dastmalchian's ever-growing horror oeuvre, with upcoming projects including Rosario, Dexter: Resurrection, Murderbot, Kodak SuperXX, and The Cure, to name but a few.
Look out for more on Sender as we get it!
