Premiering at LA's Screamfest this October is Stacy Haiduk and Sophia Tatum's Brand New Cadillac, a vampiric comedy-horror based on the acclaimed short of the same name – and we've got a brand new trailer exclusively for you today.
As well as directing, Haiduk (True Blood, Days of Our Lives) and Tatum (Riverdale, Samaritan) will star in the film described as a journey through a “mother daughter relationship with life and death stakes set in the world of vampires.”
Todd Slater (The Sacrifice Game, Succubuss, Don't Turn Out the Lights) will produce through his Convoke Media shingle.
From Slater:
The script for Brand New Cadillac was one of the most original concepts I have read in a long time […] This is a story that explores family, and that of a mother daughter relationship, in a way we have never seen before. This story has a voice that fans will gravitate to in a big way.
Adds Haiduk:
โThis is an exciting time for women in film, and we wanted to really capture a story that focused on this. Getting to work with my daughter and vice versa is something very dear to our hearts. We are excited to bring this unique story to audiences everywhereโ.
And from Tatum:
โThe essence of the story is that itโs basically a journey about a mother and daughter brought together by necessity and working through their disagreements and years of tension to finally fall back in love with one another. They ultimately realize that the distance theyโve kept from one another has actually prevented them from being their better selves.โ
Yep, everything here sounds right up our alley, and if you like your vibes immaculate, your female characters badass, and your blood by the bucketful, make sure you don't miss Brand New Cadillac .
Brand New Cadillac will be screening at LA's Screamfest on Sunday, October 13th. Tickets are now available here. We'll bring you more details on wide release when we get our hands on them!
Now let's join this bloody duo for a drive into the desert…
