Lea Anderson is a poet-turned-genre expert, scholar, critic, and lifelong monster kid approaching monster theory from a Black feminist perspective. She's a regular contributor at Fangoria where she also wrote the column Eaten Alive! exploring devouring monsters as forms of narrative/social technology. Her work on horror and the Gothic has been featured in print and online in Darkest Margins: 24 Essays on Liminality and Liminal Spaces (1428 Publishing), liquid blackness (Duke University Press), Bright Wall/Dark Room, Collider, Bitch, amongst others. She has lectured on the genre for Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies, Salem Horror Fest, and at universities and conferences internationally, appeared on the Shudder docuseries The 101 Scariest Horror Movie Moments of All Time and Horror's Greatest, and can also be caught guesting on podcasts like Midnight Mass, Bitches On Comics, and The Truth In This Art.
