AMC+โs newest Anne Rice series is shaping up to be quite a doozy. The network has just released a new trailer for their upcoming series Anne Riceโs Talamasca: The Secret Order, which premieres next month and stars Downton Abbeyโs Elizabeth McGovern as a mysterious woman tracking young Guy Anatole (Nicholas Denton), who may be the key to the mysterious other world of magical beings.
The six-episode series, the third in AMCโs extended universe after Interview With the Vampire and Mayfair Witches, is set to follow the titular โsecret order: of men and women responsible for tracking and containing the witches, vampires, and other magical creatures around the globe. (This is not the first time the secret society has been seen on screen, as they also briefly featured in the movie Queen of the Damned, by way of Doctor Who star Paul McGann.)
Alongside McGovern and Denton, William Fichtner is joining the series as Jasper, a mysterious American with control over the Talamascaโs London Motherhouse. The series also stars Jason Schwartzman, playing a turncoat vampire assisting the Talamasca in their work, as well as Maisie Richardson-Sellers and Eric Bogosian, reprising his role from Interview With the Vampire as the recently turned vampire/journalist Daniel Molloy. The series is currently filming in Manchester, England, and is set to premiere next month on AMC, arriving ahead of the third season of Interview.
Anne Riceโs Talamasca is executive produced by John Lee Hancock and Mark Lafferty, who also serve as co-showrunners for the series. Mark Johnson, who oversees the Immortal Universe for AMC, is also producing the series alongside Tom WIlliams and the late Riceโs son Christopher Rice.
Anne Riceโs Talamasca premieres on October 26. Check out the new trailer below:
