AMC is unleashing their FearFest programming now that weโre in October, and theyโve just released a trailer for the terrifying โCarnival of Frightsโ that theyโve curated this year. With the help of reigning HalloQueen Janelle Monรกe, the network is featuring over 650 hours of horror films, shows, specials, and more, sponsored by BACARDร Rum.
Monรกe has curated a special list of her favorite horror films that will be available to stream on AMC+ in October, including The Birds, Carrie (1976), Childโs Play (1988), Halloween (1978), Jeepers Creepers, Late Night with the Devil, Leprechaun, The Others, Psycho, Rear Window, The Rule of Jenny Pen, Speak No Evil, Vertigo and more.
โHalloween is a time to investigate fears, transform them, and celebrate the unknown,โ said Monรกe. โHorror has always been a space to honor the horror classics, like the films that shaped me, while championing bold new voices and reinventing the way stories are told. Iโm thrilled to return as the HalloQueen with AMC Networks and FearFest to share my favorite films, spotlight iconic franchises, and share this Halloween season with all my fellow horror enthusiasts!โ
This yearโs FearFest programming includes fan-favorite franchises like A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and Final Destination, as well as a Stephen King library that includes 2017โs IT and the โ90s miniseries, The Shining, and Misery. Additionally, new episodes of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and Talamasca: The Secret Order join the fray, as well as a special episode of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, featuring a double feature screening of A Nightmare on Elm Street and Freddy vs. Jason. Other marathons also include โFear the โ80s,โ featuring The Lost Boys and Silver Bullet, โCreature Feature,โ with Tremors and Lake Placid, and more.ย
