Personally, Iโ€™m not the kind of woman who wants kids. Theyโ€™re messy, exhaustingโ€ฆand if the trailer for Shudderโ€™s newest home invasion drama is any indication, have horrible timing. The streamerโ€™s just released the trailer for Push, which arrives on the platform next month, and if premature labor didnโ€™t terrify you before, it certainly will now.

Directed by David Charbonier and Justin Powell, Push stars Alicia Sanz as a pregnant real estate agent being tormented by Raรบl Castilloโ€™s sadistic killer. The filmโ€™s synopsis is as follows:

Haunted by the memory of her late fiancรฉ, Natalie Flores finds herself 8 months pregnant and in desperate need of a new start. Determined to regain her sense of self, she moves to America and uses her real estate license to take on a challenging listing. However, she soon discovers her new beginning may be a deadly end when she catches the eye of a sadistic killer at her open house. After becoming stranded at the property, Natalie falls into premature labor, starting a physiological ticking clock as she must find a way to escape before she gives birth.

Push is Charbonier and Powellโ€™s third full-length feature, after The Djinn was released in 2021 by IFC, followed closely after by The Boy Behind the Door on Shudder. They also worked on the short Secret Admirer together, and are currently developing their next film, The Nowhere Game. The film, which made its premiere at last yearโ€™s Sitges Film Festival, is executive produced by Sanz and Castillo, along with Amy Lippens, Jilbert Daniel, and Del Charbonier, along with producer Ryan Scaringe. Daniel Katz serves as cinematographer.

Push premieres on Shudder on July 11. Check out the trailer below:
