Bracke on script duties to tell the story of how a 23-year-old film student got the reins of horrorโ€™s biggest franchise with the ninth installment in the Friday the 13th franchise.

Talking heads featured in Hearts of Darkness: The Making of The Final Friday include Marcusactors Kane Hodder, Steven Williams,John D. LeMay,Steven Culp, Rusty Schwimmer, Richard Gant, Kipp Marcus, Andrew Bloch, Allison Smith, Julie Michaels, Michelle Clunie, Michael B. Silver, Kathryn Atwood, and Jonathan Penner, composer Harry Manfredini, and special makeup effects artists Howard Berger and Robert Kurtzman.

Speaking with Bloody Disgusting, Felsher went into more detail about his documentary, which first started production back in 2019:

โ€œThis is much more than a simple โ€˜making-ofโ€™ piece. What really came through when we were assembling this documentary was that it was Adam Marcus who really inspired so many of his cast & crew to sign on for a film that they might have even considered doing otherwise.

Adam viewed Jason Goes to Hell as an exciting opportunity to debut his directing ambitions on a franchise that he truly loved and was excited to do something new with olโ€™ Mr. Voorhees. In the end, it was Adam Marcusโ€™ talent, enthusiasm and passion that made his initial foray into feature filmmaking such a memorable experience for everyone, and Hearts of Darkness really is his story, filtered through the bloody escapades of our favorite horror iconโ€
