The juice is loose…at Denny’s! The restaurant chain has announced a partnership with Warner Bros. tied to Tim Burton’s much-anticipated sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Denny’s has launched the Afterlife Menu, featuring an array of dishes inspired by the film. As of today, you can try out items like the Afterlife Melt and the Beetlejuicy Burger nationwide for dine-in, take out, or delivery. There’s even a trailer for it! Check it out.
The collaboration coincides with the return of Denny’s $2 $4 $6 $8 Value Menu. So there’s more to enjoy beyond the Beetlejuice of it all. The revamped $2 $4 $6 $8 Value Menu offers an array of dishes, including a new Slam inspired by Beetlejuice Beetlejuice; The Say It Three Times Slam, which is available for $8.99 nationwide. The menu also includes a cookies ‘n scream shake. But are they going to have Beetlejuice Fanta on hand to help you wash it all down? Patty Trevino, Denny’s chief brand officer, had this to say about it:
“Bringing back the $2 $4 $6 $8 Value Menu with innovative new dishes and launching the new Afterlife Menu allows us to offer our guests great food at unbeatable prices, as they immerse themselves in the scary-delicious world of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Whether you're a Beetlejuice superfan or simply looking for delicious, affordable options, we’re confident there’s something on the menus for everyone to fill their cravings – without emptying their wallets.”
This is just the latest product tie-in that Warner Bros. has cooked up for the sequel to Burton’s 1988 classic. We recently got a glimpse at some pretty impressive Beetlejuice Beetlejuice popcorn buckets headed to Regal Cinemas as well. That and the aforementioned Fanta, which is a real thing you can find in stores right now. As for the movie itself? Michael Keaton returns as the title character, along with an ensemble full of familiar and new faces. The synopsis reads as follows:
“Beetlejuice is back! After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice hits theaters on September 6. For more, check out FANGORIA #74 from the archives, which features the original Beetlejuice, among many other classics.
