Fans of Gun’s enormously successful Texas Chain Saw Massacre game have a new reason to celebrate today, as horror icon Barbara Crampton has announced on Instagram that she’s being added to the game’s latest DLC!
One of the more fun surprises of the game’s success has been the fervent fandom that's cropped up around the game’s new characters, such as Johnny and Sissy. Now Crampton will be added to the mix as a “mom” character, the actress has told FANGORIA.
“I’m used to living in a scary world,” Crampton says in the clip, hinting at the news to come. She goes on to share that “probably my favorite movie of all time is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre… I was 22 and I couldn’t finish it.” She eventually did and, though the film caused some sleepless nights, it went on to become a fave.
She then shared a personal connection to the film. “My favorite character is Gunnar Hansen as Leatherface… He sat right next to me at my first convention and helped me… we became good friends after that.”
Her announcement ends with a quick glimpse of her game character (seen above). The addition of Crampton to one of the most enduring horror franchises out there is caught for a sunlit chainsaw twirl, in our opinion.
