Despite Halloween being the time for all things spooky, Christmas-themed horror movies crop up pretty often — and Cineverse has the latest. They just dropped the trailer for Ralph’s Perfekt Christmas (no, that’s not a misspelling), featuring a man so devoted to the winter holiday that he’ll resort to dark deeds to make it perfect.
Directed by Matthew Bellamy, Ralph’s Perfekt Christmas stars Tom McLaren, Charlie Schlatter, Jill Schoelen, Casey Burke, Landon Gimenez, Lynda Day George, Susan Blakely, Marta Kristen, Nicholle Tom, Trevor Lissauer, Bill Mumy, and Angela Cartwright. The film’s synopsis is as follows:
For Ralph, Christmas isn’t just a day – it’s a way of life. When his wife Heather can't tolerate his quirks any longer and files for divorce, Ralph’s life is thrown into shambles. He finds a new sense of hope when he dreams he can win her back by creating the perfect Christmas. With no time to lose, desperate times call for desperate measures. Ralph concocts a crazy plan that involves kidnapping the former child star of his favorite Christmas movie.
But when a series of accidents send his ill-conceived scheme spiraling wildly out of control, Ralph’s good intentions quickly take increasingly dark and unexpected turns. The fallout reveals two sides of one very desperate man determined to have his “Perfekt Christmas,” no matter what, even if it lands him on the Naughty List.
“Ralph’s Perfekt Christmas is exactly the kind of smart, distinctive, genre-bending film that resonates with Cineverse and Screambox audiences,” said Cineverse’s Dan Fisher. “The film combines an original story with unexpected twists, turns, and a surprise ending coupled with a standout performance by Tom McLaren as Ralph that makes this film a ‘must watch’ for the holidays.”
Ralph’s Perfekt Christmas will have a limited theatrical run beginning on October 30, before arriving on Screambox on November 3.
