Japanese body horror satire New Group, the sophomore feature from Best Wishes to All director Yûta Shimotsu, officially dances onto Shudder on November 6.
Written and directed by Shimotsu (one of our top picks to take the reins on the new Silent Hill movie, by the way!), New Group stars Anna Yamada (Suicide Forest Village), Yuzu Aoki (Undead Lovers), and Pierre Taki (Human Vapor), and follows high school student Ai who sees her world collapse when a strange cult-like mentality gradually turns people around her into mindless followers who can transform simple gymnastics routines into a nightmarish dance of death.
Check out said dance of death below:

New Group‘s Shudder debut follows a series of successful festival screenings last year, including Fantasia International Film Festival, Beyond Fest, Sitges, Brooklyn Horror Film Festival, Overlook Film Festival, and more.
Shimotsu's FANGORIA Chainsaw Award-nominated feature debut, the aforementioned Best Wishes to All, was a biting, socially conscious take on modern culture in both Japan and overseas, and from the looks of it, New Group is aiming for a similar brand of horror.
