While Fallout might be famous as a video game, the folks at Stern Pinball are bringing the post-apocalyptic world of Bethesda’s cult series to life in a whole new way. A new table themed after both the game franchise and the Prime Video TV series is coming to arcades everywhere, as players are invited to shoot down ghouls and enter vaults with just a hit of the flipper.
Designed by Keith Elwin, Stern’s Fallout table comes in three unique editions: pro, premium, and limited edition. Players can choose to play as Lucy MacLean, The Ghoul, or Maximus, each of which come with their own unique modes and special features, as they shoot balls to battle wastelanders, level up abilities, hack terminals with their Pip-Boy, and enter vaults that lead to a special lower playfield powered by magnetic technology.
The playfield features a replica Pip-Boy with a working interactive screen, a Fat Man ball launcher with a mechanic inspired by Fallout’s game combat, and a Nuka-Cola bottle cap spinner, along with a unique “mutated” upper flipper, which is inverted for a special challenge. Also featured in various parts of the game and its score screen are familiar faces like Vault Boy, along with footage from both the Prime Video Fallout series and the games, and custom callouts from series star Johnny Pemberton.

The limited edition model will be limited to 770 games globally, to symbolize the Great War of 2077. The collectible model will feature Vault-Tec and Vault Boy imagery not seen on the pro or premium models, in addition to themed game effects, a full-color mirrored backglass, exclusive custom pinball armor, a shaker motor, and a custom shooter knob.
“Fallout is beloved for its unique narrative, phenomenal world-building, and ability to inspire generations of fans, cementing its place as a major cultural force,” said Stern’s Seth Davis. “With Fallout by Stern Pinball, we’ve created machines that pay tribute to the legacy of this iconic franchise while pushing the boundaries of our technology more than ever before. We can’t wait for players to experience the Fallout universe come to life on the pinball playfield.”
The Fallout table joins an extensive line of horror-themed pinball tables produced by Stern, who’ve also created games based on Jaws, Stranger Things, The Munsters, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, and Elvira. Players can also keep track of their scores on each machine by downloading the Stern Insider Connected app, where they can scan a personal QR code to see how they stack up against other players locally and worldwide.
