Following his turn in Michael Shanks' co-dependency creepshow Together, Dave Franco is set to star in Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten, the new alien invasion thriller from Russian filmmaker Egor Abramenko (Sputnik, A24's upcoming Altar).

Franco joins Talk to Me‘s Sophie Wilde, who we previously reported as starring earlier this year. Abramenko directs Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten from a script by Luke Piotrowski and Ben Collins (Hellraiser, The Night House), which is turn is based on a short story by Nick Antosca (Apple TV's upcoming Cape Fear series).

An official logline reads as follows:

“Rob and Sabile, a young engaged couple, who head to a secluded mountain resort to take their vows and step into the new chapter of their shared lives. What was planned as a joyous wedding attended by family members takes a different turn when unexpected guests crash the ceremony”

Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten will be Franco's first genre credit since the aforementioned Together, which was a box office hit for NEON last year. As well as Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten, Wilde is also set to star alongside Caleb Landry Jones, Josh Hutcherson and Hunter Schafer in the upcoming bachelor party horror from The First Omen‘s Arkasha Stevenson, as well as October, the upcoming Halloween-themed feature from Green Room‘s Jeremy Saulnier.

Spare a thought for your friends in journalism and copy who are going to have to fit the title Soon You Will Be Gone And Possibly Eaten into character-capped social media posts from now on, and stay tuned for more as we get it.
