Sports horror is officially part of the top horror movies on streaming this week. HIM, which was produced by Jordan Peele, has scored a touchdown this week and entered the top ten. The film was originally released on streaming on Peacock in December, but got a boost after it was added to Netflix this month. It is the only new film added this week. Bryan Fuller's Dust Bunny has leaped ahead of the competition this week to a brand new spot.
While there is only one truly new film this week, the latest movie in The Conjuring Universe, The Conjuring: Last Rites, gained momentum and swooped back into the top ten after a short run late last year. The film, which is based on the Smurl haunting case, officially has a prequel in the works, The Conjuring: First Communion. Last Rites is currently streaming on two streaming services, HBO Max and Prime. The film was recently added to Prime, which may have contributed to the surge in viewership.
The comedy horror reboot of Anaconda, which is a meta commentary on the killer snake movie series, has also gotten back into the game after three weeks. Welcome back, giant snake!

Dust Bunny - Streaming on HBO Max
DUST BUNNY (Credit: IMDb) The bunny has taken over! Yes, this week, Dust Bunny has hopped right into the number one spot. Mads Mikkelsen, Sophie Sloan, Sheila Atim, David Dastmalchian, and Sigourney Weaver star in the film, which is about a young girl with four sets of parents who have disappeared, one scary monster under her bed, and the hitman whom the girl begins to trust with her life.
It is writer and director Bryan Fuller's debut feature film, and Fuller is perhaps best known for the gory and beautiful television show, Hannibal. Dust Bunny had its premiere at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and had its U.S. premiere at Beyond Fest.
Dust Bunny is now streaming on HBO Max.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - Streaming on Netflix
28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE (Credit: IMDb) Wild creative energy has always been a hallmark of the 28 Days Later series, and it is no different with Nia DaCosta's direct sequel to the third film in the series, directed by Danny Boyle. With a script by Alex Garland, DaCosta, who reportedly felt protective of the series, pitched the creative team with the idea that a film directed by DaCosta would bring her own directing style and sensibilities to the sequel rather than follow in Boyle's footsteps.
Ralph Fiennes, Jack O'Connell, Alfie Williams, Erin Kellyman, and Chi Lewis-Parry play the returning characters from 28 Years Later, and Cillian Murphy appears as the fan favorite character, Jim.
28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is now streaming on Netflix.
HIM - Streaming on Netflix
HIM (Credit: IMDb) Marlon Wayans, Tyriq Withers, Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, and Jim Jefferies star in HIM, a supernatural horror film set in the high-pressure world of professional football. Cam Cade, a young football player who wants to break into the major leagues, is taken under the wing of the hero quarterback of the San Antonio Saviors, Isaiah White. Isaiah offers to train Cam personally at an isolated desert training camp, but the training takes an infernal turn.
Director Justin Tipping co-wrote and helms the movie, which was produced by Jordan Peele's Monkeypaw Productions.
HIM is now streaming on Netflix.
Anaconda - Streaming on Netflix
ANACONDA (Credit: IMDb) The horror comedy about a very hungry snake has slithered back into the top ten after two weeks. The last time we saw the meta-reboot, which stars Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, was in early April, after it was released on streaming on March 25. This is the film for ophidiophobiacs who want to be really scared, or maybe those who are terrified of snakes might want to watch it with a group of friends.
In this intentionally comedic reinvention of the franchise, an out-of-work actor claims to have the rights to make a new film in the series, and with his friends, decides to go to the Amazon to make their moviemaking dreams come true. Unfortunately, it turns out that the original film wasn't just a fantasy, and the friends are confronted by a monstrous reptile and a rival film crew.
Anaconda is now streaming on Netflix.
Ready or Not - Streaming on Hulu
READY OR NOT (Credit: IMDb) Fans are still watching the original at home, even though the sequel Ready or Not: Here I Come has left theaters. Ready or Not was the mainstream breakthrough film for the Radio Silence film collective and co-directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Radio Silence had success with their segment 10/31/98 from V/H/S, but this was the first Radio Silence feature film directed by the co-directing team of Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett and distributed by a major studio, Fox Searchlight Pictures.
The ensemble cast includes Samara Weaving, Adam Brody, Mark O'Brien, Elyse Levesque, Nicky Guadagni, Henry Czerny, and Andie MacDowell, and is glorious and gory.
Ready or Not is now streaming on Hulu.
The Conjuring: Last Rites - Streaming on Prime
THE CONJURING: LAST RITES (Credit: IMDb) Another movie has reemerged from the pack and landed back in the top horror movies streaming this week. The Conjuring: Last Rites exited the top ten during the week of December 1, 2025, but has returned to scare the fans of the franchise once again. We're not sure why this is, but what was to be the Warrens' final supernatural adventure, at least in its current cinematic form, is currently available on two streaming sites.
The series stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as paranormal investigators, with Mia Tomlinson and Ben Hardy joining the cast. Michael Chaves, who also directed the last two movies in the franchise, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It and The Nun II, continues his streak of hits in The Conjuring Universe.
The Conjuring: Last Rites is now streaming on HBO Max and Prime.
Shelby Oaks - Streaming on Hulu
SHELBY OAKS (Credit: IMDb) Director Chris Stuckmann's debut feature film remains in the top ten, staying strong at number 7. Stuckman has been a YouTube film critic since 2006 and is a member of the Critics' Choice Association, but he also directed his own movies with his friends and family since he was in high school. Shelby Oaks tells the story of a woman who is still searching for her sister after she disappeared in a deserted town twelve years later.
Camille Sullivan, Brendan Sexton III, Keith David, Sarah Durn, Derek Mears, Emily Bennett, Charlie Talbert, Robin Bartlett, and Michael Beach star in the film.
Thrash - Streaming on Netflix
THRASH (Credit: Netflix) Phoebe Dynevor, Whitney Peak, and Djimon Hounsou star in this tale of a hurricane that brings ravenous sharks into a town where the inhabitants are already having issues with agoraphobia, family arguments, fraud, and a pregnant woman going into labor. With the sharks able to swim anywhere they want, the survivors aren't safe inside or outside their homes.
Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) wrote and directed the wild survival horror movie, which, if you've ever watched his other films, Violent Night or Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, you know that he brings lots of gruesome, yet funny, violence to his creations.
Thrash is now streaming on Netflix.
Sinners - Streaming on HBO Max
SINNERS (Credit: Warner Bros. Ent.) One of the two longest-running films in the top ten in 2025 and 2026 is Ryan Coogler's Sinners. The blockbuster hit will probably influence filmmaking and film marketing for a long time. It is a multiple Academy Award-winning film that has helped cement the genre as a contender during awards season, which is a big change after decades of horror being neglected and shunned by mainstream awards.
Hailee Steinfeld, Miles Caton, Jack O'Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo in the film, which enraptured audiences and exposed regular film goers to the wonders of 70mm IMAX screenings.
Weapons - Streaming on Prime
WEAPONS (Credit: IMDb) Zach Cregger's second film, which, along with Sinners, was part of a record-breaking streak of Warner Brothers film releases in 2025. For the first time in history, six Warner Bros. movies were the first to consecutively debut at number one with over $40 million in box office receipts. Josh Brolin, Julia Garner, Alden Ehrenreich, Austin Abrams, Cary Christopher, Toby Huss, Benedict Wong, and Academy Award winner Amy Madigan star in the ensemble cast.
A sequel, based on the breakout fan favorite character Aunt Gladys, is officially in the works with the double Zach combo of Cregger and Zach Shields penning the script.
