Before she makes a splash as Mrs. Voorhees in A24's Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake, Linda Cardellini has joined They Know, the upcoming horror movie and feature directorial debut of Bill Hader.
Per Deadline, who reported the casting news earlier today, They Know centers on a divorced dad (Hader) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife (Cardellini) is secretly dating a mysterious man who is having a strange influence on their children.
They Know, which is funded by studio MRC, began as an original story from Barry collaborator Duffy Boudreau, and will mark Hader's first time behind the camera since the end of the aforementioned popular HBO series.
Aside from Barry, Hader is primarily known for his comedy work, featuring in over 150 episodes of Saturday Night Live and starring in projects like The Skeleton Twins and Documentary Now!, alongside lending his voice to various animated projects, including the animated film The Addams Family 2. But he’s also got a fair few horror credits, having starred as Richie Tozier in It Chapter Two as the adult version of Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.
