Are you ready to celebrate the scariest month of the year with free horror movies streaming this month? While it is always great to discover new terror tales among the newest releases, there's nothing quite like watching your favorite genre movies in a horror marathon or mixing and matching new releases with classics as creative double and triple features. Maybe you could try a pairing of Backrooms with Heretic, or Scream with Obsession, or the original Resident Evil with Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City and Weapons?
The options are only limited by whatever you can imagine or how much free time you have. The free streaming services, Pluto TV and Tubi, have packed their list of streaming titles for October with classic film franchises, with nearly every single film in some of the series. You can find eight of the Friday the 13th movies, six of the Paranormal Activity found footage flicks, five scary Scream movies, three of the Sleepaway Camp series on Pluto TV, with Sleepwalker, a film that stars the late Hayden Pannetiere.
On Tubi, three of The Human Centipede films, all three of the X series of period slasher movies: X, Pearl, and Maxxxine, 28 Days and 28 Weeks Later, and the first three Insidious films. Tubi has also brought the Eggers Brothers' The Front Room, Talk to Me, Late Night with the Devil, and the sensual early-aughts favorite, Queen of the Damned.
